KACCWA Town hall Meeting Summary (September, 2026)

The Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Washington State (KACCWA), led by President Myung Kyu (David) Oh, hosted its September Town Hall Meeting to provide practical resources and strategies to help local small businesses grow and succeed.
Sponsored by Alaska Airlines, the event featured Bonsung Koo, President of Sogum Financial, who shared tax-saving and long-term asset management strategies tailored to small business owners. His presentation highlighted financial planning tools such as Cash Balance Plans and 1031 DSTs, offering attendees practical approaches to tax efficiency and long-term wealth management.

The program also featured Dinery, a restaurant technology startup that introduced a digital ordering solution designed to help restaurant owners reduce operating costs and strengthen customer relationships. The platform offers transaction fees in the 7% range while allowing businesses to manage and retain their own customer data. The presentation received strong interest from participating business owners.

“Our goal is to address the real challenges small business owners face and continue expanding practical benefits for our members and the community, including support for pursuing state government contracting opportunities,” President Oh said.

Through its regular Town Hall Meetings, KACCWA continues to connect local entrepreneurs and small business owners with practical information, innovative solutions, and resources that can contribute to sustainable business growth.
